Ravindra Jadeja

Ravindra Jadeja is the ultimate IPL rockstar. The sword-wielding all-rounder from Saurashtra has been one of the tournament's most valuable players with his left-arm spin, explosive batting and acrobatic fielding. 'Sir' Jadeja, as christened by MS Dhoni, has played 226 IPL matches, scoring 2692 runs at a strike rate of 128.62 and taking 152 wickets at an economy of 7.60.

Jadeja's IPL journey started with Rajasthan Royals in 2008. He then represented Kochi Tuskers Kerala and Gujarat Lions before finding his spiritual home at Chennai Super Kings in 2012. CSK bought him back for a whopping Rs 16 crore in the 2022 auction, making him their most expensive retention.

Jadeja's IPL highs include holding the record for the most runs in an over (37) and being the first to score 2000 runs and take 100 wickets. He was instrumental in CSK winning titles in 2018, 2021, and 2023. In the final of the 2023 IPL, he made 15* in 6 to win CSK the final on the last ball.

Jadeja was appointed CSK captain in 2022 but gave back the reins to Dhoni midway through a tough season. With CSK and India, the 35-year-old Jadeja has won it all. He is the world's top-ranked Test all-rounder with over 6000 international runs and over 550 international wickets. The Jamnagar lad will be key to CSK's chances of regaining the TATA IPL crown in 2024. He lives with his wife Rivaba and daughter Nidhyana.
