The goddess Parvati manifests in nine forms known as the Navadurga to save the gods and mankind from the evil of Mahisasur. These forms include: Shailaputri, Brahmacharini, Chandraghanta, Kushmanda, Skandamata, Katyayani, Kaalratri, Mahagauri, and Siddhidatri. All these forms together embody the goddess in her aspect as Mahishasuramardini, the destroyer of the demon Mahishasura. It is about the timeless story and journey of Maa Durga and her triumph over evil.
