Robert Klein delivers an all-new, hourlong stand-up routine before a packed house at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts’ Amaturo Theatre in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Among the topics Klein is expected to address (show tapes on April 10): bipartisan gridlock in Washington; obstructionism for the sake of obstructionism; image instead of substance; Congressmen running off to Argentina rather than running the country; couch potatoes with two waistlines; out-sourcing tech jobs to India; and the average American’s fascination with pop culture but his/her total lack of interest in grappling with truly important issues. There will also be musical interludes in which Klein, backed by a symphony orchestra onstage, will belt out newly minted musical numbers about such topics as medical marijuana, Barack Obama, and his continued inability to stop his leg from shaking – at least when he’s singing the blues.Show more
