Shylaja, a widow, leads a vibrant life as a pigmy collection agent. Respected by everyone in town, Shylaja has a deep secret hidden within. She indulges in an affair with her neighbour named Vishnu. When Vishnu's mother disapproves of their union, Shylaja plans to get Vishnu hitched to one of her clients named Radha.
