Vande Metro News | Indian Railways Completes Successful Trial Run Of Vande Metro | News18 Vande Metro, the metro variant of the popular Vande Bharat trains, will soon be put into commercial operations with the successful completion of its speed trial between Villivakkam in Chennai and Walajah Road on Saturday.Chief Commissioner of Railway Safety (CCRS) Janak Kumar Garg oversaw the speed trial between the two stations on the ever-busy Chennai-Bengaluru train route. Vande Metro has been indigenously designed to ply on short-distance routes (150 km-200 km) with space for standees, effectively replacing the MEUMs (Mainline Multiple Electric Units).Show more
