Hema Malini & Manoj Kumar’s first film together, Sanyasi showcases Hema Mailini in the character of Aarti a modern day Menaka, who tries to distract & seduce Young Manoj Kumar’s character Ram, who plays a young sanyasi fully immersed in his godly ways. Ram’s mother Renuka Devi (Sulochana) wants him to marry aarti but things take an unexpected turn when his cousin falls in love with her.
