Phera

A young doctor abandons his village love, Jhinuk, leaving her pregnant, and is later coerced into an arranged marriage in Kolkata. Jhinuk raises their son, Apu, alone. Years later, while visiting the village with his wife, the doctor finds Jhinuk on her deathbed, waiting for him.
